What 2025 Taught Us About Supporting Your Readiness and Connection

As 2025 unfolded, we saw communities facing fast-moving floods in Texas, catastrophic hurricanes in the Caribbean, and wildfires in California. We also watched organizations navigate evolving cyber threats, workforce changes, and acts of workplace violence, forcing leaders everywhere to think more deeply about how they protect their teams.


At Meridian, we paid close attention to emerging threats around the world. We also paid attention to something else: how people stayed connected through it.

 

This year, whether it was families searching for updates during Hurricane Melissa or community groups organizing support during wildfire evacuations, one theme kept coming up:

 

People turn to the voices they trust.

And that trust is built long before a crisis arrives.

 

This year, we leaned into that idea. We showed up on social media, shared what we were learning, and invited people to tell us what they were facing. We wanted to meet people where they already were — researching, reading, scrolling, commenting, sharing resources, and trying to make sense of a busy, unpredictable year.
